18. Trophy: Legal Owners, Conditions of Taking Over, Agreement to be Signed, Awards.

(A) A Competition Cup or Trophy shall be vested in the Association sanctioning the Competition as trustees. If a Competition be discontinued from any cause, the Cup or Trophy shall be returned to the Donor if the conditions attached to it so provide, held in trust, or otherwise dealt with as the Association may decide. At the close of each Competition awards shall be made to the winners and runners-up. All Cups or Trophies shall be for perpetual challenge.
(b) The following agreement shall be signed on behalf of the winners of the cup or Trophy:
We A________ and B_________ the Chairman and Secretary of_________________ A.F.C., members of and
representing the said Club having been declared winners of the League Cup, and the same having been delivered to us by the said League, do hereby and on behalf of the said Club jointly and severally agree to return the same to the League Secretary on or before ____________________ each season in accordance with the League Rules and providing the same trophy is lost or damaged whilst under our care we agree to refund to the League the amount of its current value or the cost of its thorough repair.

(B) All League Cups shall be returned to the League Secretary in good condition before the 31st January or in default the Club shall be fined £15.

(C) Sixteen mementoes only will be provided by the League to each Champion and Runner-up Club.

(D) The League shall be responsible for the engraving of all League Cups to ensure uniformity of engraving.
