6. Qualification of players, penalties for ineligible players

(a) Same as League Rule 8 but see overriding paragraphs below.

(b) No player shall be allowed to play for more than one Club in the Competition during the same season, nor shall any player be allowed to play in a lower Section if he has already played in a higher Section.

(c) Any player who has taken part in more than half of the League matches of any team of Higher County Cup Classification, up to the date of the match in question, shall not be eligible to play in a team that is of Lower County Cup Classification except by permission of the Management Committee (see League Rule 8 paragraph (p) for further clarification concerning reckoning of appearances).

(d) ADDITIONALLY, no player shall be allowed to play in the Semi-Final or Final UNLESS:
i) He has previously taken part in the Competition during the current season - OR -
ii) He has played the majority of the games he has played for this Club during the current season, at the equivalent or a lower County Cup Classification AND
1) He has played at least six games for his Club in this League during the current season - OR -
2) He has been registered with this Club for at least 3 CLEAR MONTHS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE MATCH IN QUESTION.
iii) Special permission is granted by the Management Committee.

(e) Any Club playing an unregistered or otherwise ineligible player SHALL be fined - a minimum sum - of £5 for each ineligible player and the relevant team shall be expelled from the Competition.
