• 09/04/2008 - Charity Cup Semi Final Results

Tewkesbury Rovers, Falcons and C & G all won through to the finals of their respective Charity Cup Competitions this evening after a bumper night of cup action at The Newlands.

In the replay of the Junior Charity Cup match that was abandoned after 105 minutes last week, Tewkesbury Rovers emphatically booked their place in the final with a 5-1 victory over Gaffers. The other Senior Cup Semi Final went all the way to penalties, however, after 120 minutes failed to separate Broadway United and Falcons, who were locked together at 3 goals each. In the end, in the gathering gloom, Falcons booked their place in the final on May 1st by prevailing 5-4 in the shoot-out.

Meanwhile, C & G and Gaffers Reserves ended up all square at 2-2 after 90 minutes in their Minor Charity Cup Semi Final and needed extra time to settle the matter. Once the additional 30 minutes had been played, C & G were one goal to the good and, with the 3-2 victory this secured, will now meet FC Barometrics in the final at the end of April.

Therefore, the Charity Cup Final line-up for season 2007-08 is as follows

Senior Charity Cup - Wednesday, 16th April, 2008, Whaddon Road

FC Barometrics v Whaddon United

Junior Charity Cup - Thursday, 1st May, 2008 - Kayte Lane, Bishops Cleeve

Falcons v Tewkesbury Rovers

Minor Charity Cup - Tuesday, 29th April, 2008 - Petersfield Stadium
