• 07/03/2008 - FC Barometrics to play Whaddon United in Senior Cup Final

It took extra time and penalties to separate FC Barometrics and Winchcombe Town in the second Senior Charity Cup Semi Final, which was played under floodlights at Bishop's Cleeve FC's Kayte Lane ground last night.

Winchcombe Town had initially taken the lead just before half time but FC Barometrics equalised immediately after the break and that was the way it stayed until the end of the 90 minutes. Two more goals to each side in extra time meant that the tie had to be decided through a penalty shoot out and even this went to sudden death, with FC Barometrics eventually prevailing by the score of 6-5.

This means that FC Barometrics will now meet Whaddon United next month in the first all-Division Two final in living memory.
