Cheltenham League Notice Board
After 4 years of dedicated service, the League's Registration Secretary,
Mr Terry Onions, has decided to call it a day after this year's Annual
General Meeting. Terry, who is also the Secretary of Gala Wilton, has
worked hard over the last 4 years to try and ensure that the League is
administered as well as possible and is owed the thanks of everyone involved
with the Cheltenham League for his efforts in this often thankless role. 2) Player Debts Clubs are reminded that the League's CDP1 form should be returned to Terry Onions, by next Wednesday, May 30th, if they intend to report any players who may owe them money. All persons thus reported will then be included on the CDP 2 form that will be circulated to each club at the Annual General Meeting, detailing all players whose registration will not be accepted by the League for next season until the debt has been discharged. Please remember that the names of players can only be included on the CDP1 list if the club has already made an attempt to recover the money owed from the player concerned and this attempt has not been successful. The League will only accept that an attempt has been made by the club to recover the debt if it can provide a copy of at least one letter that has been sent to the player requesting repayment 3. Annual General Meeting The League's Annual General Meeting will be held at the Victory Club
on Wednesday, June 6th. It is a requirement of League Rules that all clubs
must have at least one representative in attendance at the meeting throughout.
It is also important for all clubs to be at the meeting as League Registration
Books, triplicated team sheets and various other administrative necessities
for the forthcoming season will be distributed as delegates arrive. 4 End of Season Roll of Honour. The 2006-2007 season is now over and the winners of all eight of the
League's trophies are now known. The League Champions this year are Hatherley
Rangers who now leave us to join the Northern Senior League. We wish them
well with the fresh challenges that they will face in their new league. Meanwhile, in the cups, Endsleigh prevented Hatherley Rangers from completing a double by registering a 4-2 triumph in the Senior Charity Cup at Cheltenham Town. Whaddon United did do the double, however, when they beat Broadway United 4-1 in the Junior Cup at Kayte Lane and Sherborne Harriers carried off the Minor Charity Cup following an excellent 1-0 win over Finlay Rovers Reserves at Petersfield Stadium. All supplementary information forms must be returned to the League's General Secretary by next Friday, June 1st. These forms cannot be submitted at the AGM without your club incurring a fine. Please make sure that they are returned to the General Secretary as soon as possible. DON'T FORGET THE AGM - WEDNESDAY, 6TH JUNE, 7-15 PM AT THE VICTORY CLUB Thanks,
