• 11/04/2007 - Broadway United & Sherborne Harriers reach Charity Cup Finals

Broadway United reached the Junior Cup Final and Sherborne Harriers won through to the Minor Cup Final last night following Semi Final victories at The Newlands.

After finding themselves two goals behind after 20 minutes, Third Division Broadway United fought back to win 4-2 against Tivoli Rovers, from Division Four. Meanwhile, on an adjacent pitch and on a glorious spring evening, Sherborne Harriers took an early lead against FC Electrics but, in the end, had to pull themselves back from a 2-1 deficit to earn themselves a place in the Minor Cup Final with a 3-2 win.

The second semi-finals will be played tomorrow, Thursday 12th April, again at The Newlands. Whaddon United will be taking on Charlton Kings in the Junior Cup whilst Finlay Rovers Reserves will dispute the remaining Minor Cup Final place with Northleach Town Reserves
