• 06/09/2006 - Smiths Athletic withdraw from Division Two

Following an appeal, which was heard this evening at an extraordinary meeting of the League's Management Committee, it has been confirmed that Smiths Athletic will be withdrawing from Division Two of the Cheltenham League. The Club will now continue this season with only three sides. Smiths Athletic's first team will continue to play in the Northern Senior League, but their reserve side will now be their Cheltenham League Division Three team and their third team will be the side that plays in Division Four.

All Smiths Athletic's fixtures in Division Two will be expunged from the records and the Division will be played to its conclusion this season with only 13 sides.
