Today, Cheltenham Town FC beat Grimsby Town in the League 2 play-off final and, consequently, have earned themselves promotion to the third tier of English professional football for the season 2006-2007. Their 1-0 victory was gained thanks to a Steve Guinan goal and the congratulations of everyone connected with the Cheltenham League are offered to the club, its players, officials and supporters on a marvellous achievement at the end of an excellent season
