Winchcombe Town tonight won the Cheltenham League Senior Charity Cup for the first time since 2001 when they defeated Smiths Athletic Reserves 1-0 in a generally disappointing final at Whaddon Road.

The winning goal of a game that produced very few clear cut chances was scored after 20 minutes and Smiths Athletic finished the match with only 9 after two of their players were sent off.
