At the EGM that was held tonight to consider the motion, proposed by the Management Committee of the League, to exclude Finlay Rovers from further participation in the competition, a very close vote was finally declared as 31 votes for the motion and 21 against.

As motions of this type can only be carried if they are supported by two thirds of the votes cast, the motion failed. Consequently, Finlay Rovers remain members of the Cheltenham League and will continue to meet their fixture obligations within the league as normal.
