Cheltenham League Notice Board
1) Referees Cards All clubs are reminded that the rules relating to Referee's Result cards were changed at the Annual General Meeting and that these changes are now reflected in rule 13(j). The new version of this rule will come into effect as soon as the season starts and it requires that the home club must now recover the completed Referee's Result Card from the appointed official within 15 minutes of the completion of each match. This card must then be sent, along with the home side's copies of the team sheets from both competing teams, to the League Results Secretary within 5 days of the game. In addition, it should be noted that amendments made to Rule 13(e) also require Clubs to pay officials within 15 minutes of the completion of each match and that any club that transgresses either of these new rules will be fined £5. 2. Affiliation Numbers All clubs are reminded that they must forward details of their GFA Affiliation Number to the League's General Secretary by August 31st at the latest. This affiliation number can be found on the receipt that the GFA will have issued to each club in acknowledgment of their completed "A" forms and, this season, this number is prefixed "CAN". 3 Club Accounts Clubs are also reminded that they must send a copy of their accounts to the League Secretary in advance of their first fixture of the season. 4 The Beeches FC Summer Tournament We have been asked, by The Beeches FC, who used to be members of the Cheltenham League before dwindling numbers required them to concentrate on the Cirencester League, to pass on details of their Summer Tournament. It will be played at the Kingshill Sports Complex over the weekend of August 13th & 14th. Saturday 13th August will be devoted to a Junior Tournament, which will have competitions for the Under 12, Under 13 and Under 15 age categories, whilst the Senior Tournament will be held on Sunday, 14th August. The entry fee is £15. Further details, and an entry form, which must be completed and returned by Saturday, 6th August, can be obtained from Mick Ricketts, 5, Rutland Place, Cirencester, Glos, GL7 1PR, telephone 01285 652494. 5 League Website The League's Website, which can be found at www. Cheltenhamleague.co.uk, has now been fully updated for the new season, with additional pages for each of the clubs that have just joined the League and amended details for all the rest as well as the latest versions of the rules. Also, the Charity Cup rules section is now available and the guide for New Secretaries has been added under Advice and Guidance. 6 Handbooks The 2005-2006 handbook is currently being printed and will be available in about one weeks time. One copy of the handbook per club will be posted to each Club's Secretary as soon as they become available. This copy will be sent along with 6 result cards per team, which should be sufficient to last until the end of September. The remaining allocation of both Handbooks and Result Cards will be distributed at the Clubs Meeting, which will be held at the Victory Club on September 28th. 7 Fixtures All fixtures, both for all divisions of the League and the Charities Cup Competitions, can be viewed via the Cheltenham League section of the FA's Full Time facility. The League's Assistant Secretary, John Hunt, is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the fixtures throughout the season and all queries, acknowledgements and requests for amendments to fixtures should be directed to John in the first instance. 8 Bishops Cleeve FC The League has been asked to point out to all clubs that both of Bishops Cleeve FC's Cheltenham League sides use changing facilities at the clubs ground in Kayte Lane for all home matches, even though their fourth team play their matches at Bishops Cleeve Playing Fields. We are happy to oblige. 9 Hatherley Rangers FC Please also note that both of Hatherley Rangers' two Cheltenham League sides will be playing at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester next season. 10 Paul Britton Please note that the Secretary of the Gloucestershire Football Association has been on extended sick leave recently and that any matters that have been referred to him alone via email have probably not received any attention over the last month. Details of these matters should be relayed to the office staff by telephone as soon as possible. 11 General Secretary on Holiday The General Secretary will be on holiday from August 18th to September 1st . During this time, the first point of contact should be Les Fisher, although for the period from August 29th to September 1st, Les is also away so urgent enquiries should then be directed to Mr G Cook, the League's Chairman. Results of League matches played on September 1st should be phoned through to JOHN HUNT on 01242 583856. NB: KICK OFF TIMES FOR MIDWEEK GAMES DATED SEPTEMBER 1ST to SEPTEMBER
