• 03/05/2005 - Minor Cup Final Abandoned

The Minor Charities Cup Final was abandoned this evening just after half time when a torrential down pour rendered the pitch at Petersfield Stadium, the home of Cheltenham Saracens, dangerous and unfit for further play.

The match, between the sides that finished second and third in Division Five, AC Olympia and Elmbridge Old Boys, was poised at 1-1 when the elements finally prevailed.

A replay will be arranged and will probably be played next week at a venue that has yet to be confirmed
