Minutes of the Management Committee Meeting at the Victory Club Cheltenham on Wednesday 22nd September 2004 at 7-00pm

Minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday the 25th August 2004 were read and accepted.

Deposit Account, Lloyds transfer now completed.

Letter from The Beeches requesting return of Deposit, state, cannot find rule that entitles league to keep it. The Management Committee advise The Beeches that Rule 2c states " Any club failing to complete the seasons fixtures shall forfeit that particular season's deposit.
This rule has been carried out on all teams that have withdrawn from the league after the AGM. The constitution has been agreed, and fixtures (league and cup) arranged, and feel that they are quite within the rules to with hold deposits in these circumstance, and stand by the decision made at the previous meeting. .

Correspondence:
GFA: Public/ Products Liability Insurance: It is recommended that affiliated leagues take advantage of the cover available to leagues for a premium of £20 for an indemnity of £5,000,000. Secretary to obtain information regarding policy content.
GFA: Tony Neather; A memorial stone has been placed at Tytherington Rock FC and his ashes spread at the ground
GFA: Mr R Morris who is suspended by the GFA for non-payment of fine will remain suspended if his fine is not paid to Hardwicke AFC by the 24th OCTOBER
GFA: Rules and Revision are currently reviewing the pyramid within Gloucestershire and request confirmation of (a) the number of divisions and total number of clubs within your league in 1982. (b) Current number of divisions and current total number of clubs.
The secretary does not have a handbook for this period. 1983/84 handbook does not show the previous years tables. Anyone with the handbook 1982/83 please send to the secretary. We have 14 days to reply.
GFA: Football Association Child Protection Policy. Letter to Mr Eric Hoare of St Briavels Lydney has been advised that his interim suspension should be extended to all football and football activity.

Big Yellow Self Storage: Change of terms and conditions

Letter from Referee Stephen Jaques, an incident occurred at the match 11/09/04 Div 2 Newton Heath v Chelt Saracens . a report has also been sent to the GFA. Newton Heath have replied to the Referee and advise the league that player Tom O'Dea reg no 0823 was the guilty player, and in view of the serious nature of the incident, Newton Heath Club Management have withdrawn the players registration, and would not play for the club again.
The Management Committee of the Cheltenham League applaud the actions taken by Newton Heath, and advise all clubs that registration for Mr T O'Dea will be suspended by the league until the decision has been given GFA.

04/09/04 Div 5 Chelt Saracens v Northleach Town Res.
Northleach Town unable to raise a team due to a Cricket Final involving Northleach players. Northleach Town were unable to give advance warning as the Club only reached the final the previous week. The Management Committee agreed that the club should be fined but NO points deducted FINED £15. THREE POINTS DEDUCTED
11/09/04 Div 4 Falcons v Smiths Athletic 1V. Smiths Athletic report that with 62 players registered, and three other matches being played that day, they were unable to raise a fourth team, all teams were prepared to play with a bare eleven due to 6 players on holiday, 22 either on holiday or not available, on Friday night they could only find 7 players to play. They apologise for the inconvenience caused. The management committee The Management Committee agreed that the club should be fined ??? FINED £15 THREE POINTS DEDUCTED
16/09/04 Div 5 Winchcombe Town Res v Stanton. Stanton report with such a small squad evening matches are very difficult, 5 players are farmers who work evenings, one is in hospital, and one on holiday. The Stanton Secretary is new this season and was unaware that they could request no evening matches, this information was not passed on. The management committee agreed the club should be fined, but no points deducted. FINED £15 THREE POINTS DEDUCTED
18/09/04 Div 5 Winchcombe Town Res v Cleevonians. Cleevoinans report that with 7 players going to a wedding, and three away on exercise, they were unable to raise a team. The manager was only advised the previous week that the players were going to a wedding. The management committee agreed that the club should be fined ??? FINED £15 THREE POINTS DEDUCTED.

ALL TEAMS ARE REMINDED THAT TEAM SHEETS MUST BE GIVEN TO THE REFEREE PRIOR TO THE MATCH TAKING PLACE, THIS ALSO APPLIES TO STAND IN REFEREES THE HOME CLUB TO SEND IN BOTH CLUB RESULT CARD AND TEAM SHEETS.
NEXT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING WEDESDAY 27th OCTOBER 2004

The Chairman advised the meeting of the death of Mrs Errington the wife of Mr A Errington who was an active member of the league for many years. The meeting stood in Silence in remembrance

Registration forms are only available from the Registration Secretary.

League Secretary will not be available from 25Th September - 11th Oct inc.
