The Cheltenham Association Football League is based in and around Cheltenham, providing league football for teams in a 30 mile radius of the Town. From its humble beginnings in 1900, the league now boasts 5 divisions, comprising of 65 teams and is a feeder league for the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League.
The Gloucestershire Football Association (GFA) will be delivering a Referee Course at Bishops Cleeve Football Club, Kayte Lane, Cheltenham GL52 3PD starting on Friday 25th September.
Run over three day, Friday 25th September 18.30-21.30, Saturday 26th September 09.30-17.00 and Sunday 27th September 09.30-17.00, the course is targeted at individuals, both male and female, who wish to become qualified and registered referees and are able to commit to regularly officiating matches sanctioned by the GFA. It should be noted that candidates who wish to take this course for qualification purposes will not be considered.
Following the three day course, participants will be required to officiate 5 9v9 or 11v11 matches during a 3 month period as well as completing an examination, the date and venue of which will be given during the Friday 25th September session.
The cost of the course is set at £130 for those who wish to officiate within all age groups, £95 for those who wish to officiate adult football only and £105 for participants aged between 14 -15 (Youth Football Only).
